What trucks are Hood Skinz compatible with?
We offer three product lines with specific fitment: Original and HD lines fit select Peterbilt models (379, 389, 388, 386, 587, 579) using OEM 13-04711 bumper. The KW line fits Kenworth W900, T800, T660, T600, and T2000 series using OEM K179-528 bumper. Each product page lists exact fitment details. What are Hood Skinz made of?
Hood Skinz are made from our proprietary dual-layer material blend. Core colors use our F-80 Grade fabric — our heaviest-duty material, built for maximum durability. Featured colors use our F-78 Grade fabric, which offers enhanced stretch and flexibility. Both are the same dual-layer construction. The HD line uses dual-layer F-80 Grade neoprene for extreme conditions — roughly 200% thicker than Original.
How long do Hood Skinz last?
Hood Skinz are consumable armor — a wear item designed for replacement. Lifespan varies based on driving conditions, climate, and frequency of hood opening. What is the difference between Hood Skinz and hood socks?

What is the difference between Core and Featured colors?
Core colors (Black, Red, Blue, White) use our F-80 Grade fabric — our heaviest-duty material, built for maximum durability and everyday abuse. Featured colors use our F-78 Grade fabric, which offers enhanced stretch and flexibility in a wider range of custom color options. Both are the same dual-layer construction. The added benefit of Featured colors is the custom color selection and the visual pop that comes with it.
